Tire Question!?

Hey guys, I've got an 01' tj and and looking to upgrade to a new set of tires. I'm looking for a tire than can both perform on the trail, mud, and also drive well on the road with some longevity. I've considered 3 different tires, and I'd like to get some perspective on each. I'd like to upgrade to a 35/36 12.50-14.50. My 3 options are: Pitbull rockers, Irocks, and Thornbirds. Have heard mixed reviews on each, but would love to hear your all's opinions!
 
Neither here as well. My vote would be for Trxus MTs or some other MT; the pitbulls and iroks are not great street tires and the thornbirds are not good at either
 
BFG KM2 or Goodyear MTR's would probably be your best dual purpose tires that would still get fairly decent treadwear. Just my $.02 Im running Maxxis bighorns.
 
I'm running 35x12.50x15 Micky Thompson Baja MTZ's on my Toyota. I'm very happy with them overall. Pretty quiet and handle well on the pavement (wet and dry) and so far they seem to grip everything off road. They handled Daniel with zero issues which is the best test so far. I'd guess I have about 5K on them and so far so good. I had Cooper Discoverer STT's prior. They were good but the rubber seemed a bit hard and they slipped a little on the rocks but looked like they would last a long time. I had 12K on them when I sold my other truck but they looked new.
 
I put a set of 36" Iroks on my TJ in spring of '08 and it has been driven on the road since 3-4 days a week, it has a new owner now and still gets driven to and from trails and alot during the week, tires still have at least half tread on them and work great everywhere. I would recommend them to anyone, no real problems balancing them either, just a bit noisy but then again most MT's are noisy, when you don't have a top on the jeep who cares. since others are voting for others now... KM2 Hands down. best offroad tire i've ever DD'd
 
Might also look into toyo muds as well guy I know had a set on a 06 cummins and got a little over 30000 out of em
 
KM2 gets my vote. I know a dude got 70000 miles out of his and they are a great all around tire. I would put it up against any offroad tire except in straight up mud. Nothing runs like a bogger in the mud and the km2 is not as good as a swamper in the mud but I don't think you want to run either of those tires on the street.
