Tires on the XJ are on the way out, so I need to put a new set on it.

My TJ has BFG A/T's on it, but as the XJ wont be seeing anything but the occasional dirt parking lot, Im not sure A/T's are necessary...

any ideas as to what is a good standard on road use tire at the 31" size? Not sure where around Hickory to get them either. Last time I just used TireRack and price matched at 4 Wheel Parts.

If you are looking for on road only tires, youo can't go wrong with Michelin LTXs. I have had a few sets and each goes over 50k miles.

I've had good luck with BFG Long Trail TA's Ive averaged 60K on three sets. Nice quite ride and do well on wet and winter road conditions.

Go see brandon at rides... He will get you what you want.

If you want to save some coin, get a good riding tire that lasts a long time, Check out Nexen. No they aren't name brand, but I've run a few sets and have been more than happy with them. and they are cheaper than the big name tires.

Thats what I've got on mine. Lasted me through 2 accidents and a whole lot of Uwharrie roads

We ran Nexens on the mustang for years, only recently upgraded to some nittos, the nexens did great for the price.

I put Michelins on the wife's WJ last year. It is our family vehicle, and I will never run anything but Michelins on the family vehicle again, they ride awesome. It was a huge difference from the BFG ATs that were on it. But Michelins will make your wallet thin.

I run Michelin Cross Terrains on our Cherokee. Third set. The best wet traction on an All Season you will find. Quiet. Holds the road well under all conditions.
Good for 60K to 70K miles.
This is the family Jeep. No cutting corners here.
