Just a passing thought, has anyone used a "racing" tire softener on their off-road tires and how did it work, as compared to buying soft or "sticky' off-road tires? I was just kinda wondering.

no but sipe them which is cut 1/8" lines throughout the lugs and tread, heats up way quicker and flexes better and lasts longer.

I tried it years ago on a set of 33" bloggers with mehtastic results.
But they were bloggers...I've often wondered about trying it on a set of iroks...

Eons ago I was doing the autocross thing. I used Formula V Traction Treatment on the show room stock road racing tires I used. 225-50-15 I would paint the stuff on with a brush between events and let it soak in to a degree. I went through about 2 gallons for the season. I do not think my tires got any softer, but I do think they would stay factory soft for the life of the tires. These tires came with 3/32 inch tread. I would run them till the cord came through. Stuff had a sickly sweet bubble gum smell.
