I'm upgrading to a larger sized tire on my 04 tj.Here is my question I am going to a 32x11.5x15 and I am keeping my 15x8 factory rims,my question is whether the factory offset will be ok or if I need spacers.

Factory rims are 15x7. The backspacing is too deep. The tires will rub on your lower control arms when steering.

15x7's are to narrow for 11.50s take advice from my friend who ran his tires like that...the center of those tires was done in a few months, upgrade to some wider rims with the proper offset...you'll thank me later

Not bad advice, it can be done but the center tread will suffer. I ran 33x12.5 on stock 15x7 and kept the street pressure around 25psi to save the center tread, but it still wnet kind of quick. I never lost a bead offroad though. I wouldnt be surprised if a tire shop wouldnt mount this combination.

well then i guess i will looking for new wheels as well.i would like to get black steelies and probably a new home for my wheels any ideas?

Ive got 33X10.50's on my stock grizzly's (with 1.25" spacers). The grizzly's are 15X7....and I would go any wider than 10.50 width on 7" wide wheels.

I have a 00 tj. I started out with 15x10 with 3.75 backspace and 30x11.50. Wide tires need a wide rim to keep the center from wearing out. I like the 3.75 backspacing no rub on the lowers and it made my jeep look mean a hell.

Tires

I mounted 31x11.5x15 tires on 15x8 wheels with 3.75 backspacing on a XJ. Tires do not hit the frame but they do hit on the fenders even with a 3" lift. My plans are to cut the fenders. Not a TJ but thought I would inject my 2 cents worth.
