Does anyone know of a shop that will vulcanize an OFF HIGHWAY ONLY tire?

Im looking at a set of Krawlers, one of which has a cut in the sidewall. I want to find a place in NC that will Vulcanize it. Preferably in the Piedmont, but let me hear your options.

Ive also had people tell me to "stitch" or "sew" the sidewall shut, put a patch on the inside and put some Ag tire glue/sealant in the cut and run it. This doesnt sound like the best way to repair it...but would it work?

Anyone have any ideas?
 
umm i cant think of the place... but ricky and brandon (91oneton) have both had a tire vulcanized... i dunno bout brandon but ricky was told to run a innertube because the patch wouldnt stick inside... works just fine though on beadlocks...
 
Tire Repair

I'm not sure if it would inhibit the flex of a Krawler, but on the Farmall at home, we have a whole in the tread you could put your fist through.

Just glued a thick rubber "boot" in place and a new inner tube and been running fine for years. Also runnin' water/calcium mix for weight....hasn't leaked or been a problem. Course these tires are old as the hills...dry & weather hardened & don't have to flex alot...your ass makes up the difference in the seat...

I know they sell boots and tubes @ Tractor Supply. I've seen em "sewed" up in magazines, not done any myself. ....Done alot of other balin' wire repair though...

But vulcanizing a Krawler or other flexy soft compund tire would seem to be the "best" repair to me.

Aiken-black tire of Hickory, brandons worked fine, like Ben said on mine they vulcanized it and they also patch the inside, it wouldnt stick for some reason so I run an innertube 14 bucks from agri supply and they'll work for a 33 up to idk how big I have em in my 46" ag tires.
 
Bill walker tire in Asheville does it. I had two of my krawlers vulcaized 2 years ago and they're still holding good. They were pretty slow getting to them but they had a big order of retreads to do at the time.

My old man vulcanizes his own, if theres no rush im sure he can do it for you for the cost of materials.
