NC4x4 is full of knowledge so hoping one of you might help me. I am trying to get my hands on a title that was in my uncles name. He passed away and the only surviving family is me and my mother. The title has a lien on it dating back to 1994 from a company that is no longer in business. I have went to the dmv and the charlotte court system and both of them send me to the other one. How do I get the title?

There is a form you can get at dmv. Write a letter stating tou want the lien released and send it certified. Do not open it when you get it returned to sender. You have to do it either 2 or 3 times. Take these, the title(power of atterny will have to) to the dmv and you can get it done....
