Say you were going to swap a stretched CJ body onto a Blazer frame. How would it be legally titled? I know the easy way would be title it as a CJ but what would be the legal way? I searched NC DMV but didnt find an answer.
 
Title it as whatever the VIN on the body is. DMV will look at you like you're dumb if you ask them this. Title it as the CJ and you'll be fine.

This was my first thought but I was told that in NC you title the frame not the body. If I ever get around to building this rig I want to be legal.
 
The NC DMV inspector told me I have to send the title for both vehicles in and they will combine the vin and title it as a 2011 kit car truck ect.
