I installed an 8.8 from ECGS probably about 4 years ago and just got around to putting on the parking brake cables that came with it. There is no way I see these cables workin on my jeep. The length and everything is just way off. Has anyone else ran into this and what kind of setup are yall running back there?

Doesn't it just use regular disc brake TJ parking cables? That's what both of mine use (although one has a JK 44 and the other has a regular 44) and the cables work fine. The adjuster needed to be run in quite a bit, but that's all.

Just make sure that you don't overtighten the adjuster and make the parking brake shoes drag all the time.

Ok cool. I'll just go to the junkyard and grab some zj cables. Mine was drum brakes in the rear

ZJs work and ECGS has em for like $40-50 brand new last time I checked, which eliminates crawling under a junkyard ZJ and fighting those stupid connectors.

Rock Auto has them for less $20 each.

I just used them for an 03 wrangler with a 4 rear discs..bolted right up

They are different lengths slighty between sides an should be 2 different part numbers.

Well I get free parts from the junkyard that we use through the shop and have become good friends with the owners son in law. I dont know why I didnt think of grabbing some off a rear disc jeep. I can get him to pick it up with the loader and get some
