TJ aftermarket radio issues

I just traded my A4 to the wife in exchange for her 06 wrangler. So far I love it and I can't wait to start playing with it.
Yesterday I installed an aftermarket radio and I ran into an issue. There are two plugs on the back of the stock radio and the harness adapter for the new radio only accepts the bigger of the two plugs leavin the smaller plug disconnected. Now the gauge cluster does not work and the odometer says no bus.
I hope I can just splice this second connector in. I have searched but haven't come up with anything.
I'm a newb to anything electronic so any help is appreciated

i also have a aftermarket radio in my 04 tj and i believe you have the wrong wiring harness adapter go to your local speaker or radio shop and show/tell them what you got and they will be able to help you and if you have any other trouble give me a call and maybe i can give ya a hand

Thanks I just called another sound shop and thy old me that I needed a harness for about 130 bucks vs the 20 dollar one I purchased with the radio. They said my 06 didn't new it but 07 did I guess maybe they started using it in late 06 models?
