Decided to make another attempt at a front bumber for my TJ. I went off the same idea as the last one I made I just made some substabtial improvements on.
First I started with a center section that was pre cut, bent and drilled for a standard winch From A to Z fabrication.

I also ordered 2"x1" clevis mounts from A to Z

Again I had to cut each piece individually with a cut off wheel on my 4" grinder since I am cheap and haven't purchased a plasma.

This the results after a lot of welding and grinding thanks to suggestions from some of the better fabricators on here my seams came 110% better this time.

This was at about 90% done just test fitting the winch to make sure all clearances were good.

looks good!

Great bumper, nice fab work. I would like to suggest turning the front tires to about half lock one way or the other, then attempting to flex the front axle with a fork lift or jack of some sort. It looks like you may end up with the same problem that a popular off roading magazine had with their "project TealJ" jeep. Wheels turned, flexed out, accelerator pushed, and presto breako, they upgraded the front Dana 30 with a special carrier and shafts, and bought a shorty bumper. You may not have any issues with this, but from the pics it looks like it could be a problem.

I just measured and with out compressing the suspension I have over 2 1/2" clearance from the bumper to the tire. i know with coil suspension the axle moves back and fourth depending on suspension travel but I can't see it moving that much. Thanks for the heads up though.
