TJ front locker questions

[DSM Turbos]

I am looking at getting a front locker for my TJ (Dana 30), because I know the D35 will hate life too much with one. I have been looking hard at the lunchbox style locker, but I worry about snow/ice driving it (the Jeep is driven in bad weather by my wife, she has no choice but to go to work in bad weather). I have thought about just putting a lunchbox in, then taking it out in the winter, but I am also considering something like an OX, an ARB is more than I honestly want to spend, but so is an OX. Or maybe a powertrax from ECGS.

I am about to put 4.88 gears in it, so this is the time to do it. If it helps, I am running an 4 speed auto (2004) with 32s.

Any suggestions on what to do?

I put a lunchbox in my girlfriends TJ and it's awesome. The only time I know it's there is when we need it.

Yeah, everybody that I know that has one raves about it, I just worry about one in the snow or ice.

i never have any problems with mine in the snow just drive slow i have a aussie in the front and i wouldnt have anything else

go with a lunchbox style locker i hav eone in the front of mine & do not know it untill you put it in to 4X4 & in snow it drives better (when i am in 4X4)
