TJ oil pressure at idle...

whats the normal oil pressure at idle for a 4.0 TJ? mine is around 40, until i get to normal operating temp and then it idles at about 20. when you give it gas it goes back up to around 40. thanks. just trying to figure out if this is normal or not.

Mines been doing that ever since it hit 73,000 miles,its at 193,000 now. If you want to know the actual oil pressure you can get a t -fitting and install a mechanical gauge.

My '98 Grand Cherokee with the 5.2 normally has around 40-50lbs of oil pressure at operating temp. It has 166,XXX miles on it.

I have read that 10psi per 1k rpms is plenty.

Point is, it doesn't fawking matter. So long as there's some oil pressure, you're okay. If there's not, there's no easy fix. So don't worry about it.
