I think the relay is shot too

the Ilderton dodge in high point said they had never heard of this happining...

I took my tj in th have the ac core replaced and now the blower motor ?doesn't work period!

has any one here had this problem?

This happened on BOTH of my 97 dodge work vans, and thats what the headlight switch still looks like on my 95 dodge pick up.In this case dd stands for "daytime driver"

I'd say it happened to my truck before I got it. the blower resistor was half missing. Yea, the bracket was still there, but the resistor was gone. And judging by the amount of pine straw stuck in the squirel cage I'd say that pine straw tried to set the thing on fire. The connector was OK, but I've seen a range rover that did just what you've pictured there. Melted two connectors out under the hood for the blower motor.

I have a 2000 TJ and the electrical connector on the back of the A/C-heater-defroster selector switch melted and so the blower wouldn't work. I spent hours looking for the problem and searching the web. I finally cut the connector, cleaned the terminals on the switch with sandpaper, and soldered new wires to the switch terminals. Then I covered it all with heat shrink. I have seen on the web that Grand Cherokees are known for this to happen too.

My Dodge CTD has the melted headlight connector on it.. Fawkin bean counters using thin wire.

my nieghbor's tj puffed a cloud of smoke out of the dash a few months back and it was the harness and switch for the blower motor....

my other neighbor's heater controls in her tj went out this last winter as well... faulty switch and almost melted harness....
