ok running 35s on my tj, the other day went wheeling had no problems with the jeep drove it home it was fine. let the jeep sit for a couple days muddy so i washed it, i started it up and it was squealing like a pig really bad so i shut it off and checked the power steering, there was no fluid in the reservoir it was bone dry. there was no spots on my driveway and no sighs of leakage underneath the heep. i filled the reservoir up started it very tight to turn at first but then eased up, still squealing.. pulled out of the driveway and headed downtown and squealing went away for about 600 feet, jeep then started smoking and bam! belt blew off.. whats wrong with my pos? the power steering pulley and all the other pulleys spin freely with belt off

If it was smoking and blew the belt I suspect it seized for a few seconds at least. May turn free because the side load of the belt on the pulley is gone. If it ran dry for even a short amount of time the pump is damaged internally to some degree. If the belt is still intact you can put it back on and watch it while revving the engine and see if it locks up. My guess is you're going to need a pump.

Wouldn't hurt to be sure it's properly primed as well....

With the reservoir full and the engine off, turn the wheel lock to lock 3 times to prime it before trying it again.
