Something is really up with my heat in this thing. It usually stays on, a very very low setting, but on nonetheless. I cant turn my heat to cool air because the switch only goes about half way (98, slider style switches) Cant figure out why. But a new problem has arisen..and this one aint so good.

For some reason it blows full blast, hot air, right at my feet. This is AWFUL. It feels like I just stepped in a fire ant hill, its very tough to drive long distances when your foot feels like its on fire. Any suggestions as to whats causing this?

Then I have the dreaded death wobble. Before it wasnt too bad, if it got a little wobbly, id slow down a bit and it fixed it self right away. Today I couldnt get the thing under control, and almost ended up in the other lane. I tried slowing down, and it just got worse. I seriously thought i was gonna hit something. I had to pull over into some guys yard...any tips on tracking down the problem? I know it could be any number of things, but what are some of the most common fixes?

Pull the dash apart, pull the slider module out and see what is causing it to hang up. Depending on the problem, it may be an easy fix or you may need to replace the module. The cable may have gotten kinked, that is a common problem.

As for the DW.......would need to see the truck. If you want us to take a look let me know.

it may help you to know that its leaking power steering fluid. I have to fill it up about once every two weeks.

The steering components on the passenger side are also caked in old fluid...

You just have to lay upside down, backwards, with a slight twist, and you can actually look up in there with flash light.
This happened to me. It was a little hook looking thing-a-ma-jig, that only costed a few bucks. It is a connector pc.that holds the linkages to controls. I was able to fix mine by laying in same contorted manner. Im only 5ft something so, good luck

Is it coming from the box or the pump. If it is the box then you probably are due for a rebuild/replace. That can cause you DW as well.

like zubz said, i'd bet money its the slider mechanism.
TJs have this problem when people slide those switches to fast the cable gets bound up. you have to take the dash apart and unbind the cable. it's happened to me about two times. then i learned to slide those switches with ease.
