TJ rear shocks

Can anybody give me the stock center to center dimension of the rear shocks at the axle housing on a TJ?

Which confirmed Todd's number, +/- 1/2".

Now I just need to decide if I'm going to build new lower brackets in the factory locations or outboard them.

Outboard them if you can.

Th stock location is fine on the drivers side. The passenger side is a tight fit stock and only gets worse with a lift. Throw in a larger diameter exhaust and a gas tank skid and you really start to figure out where it hits.

I'm already having to redo the exhaust to clear the Genright gas tank that's back there. Going to have a pretty neat Z bend in it before it's all said and done.
