I have a tj I m putting together for a drivable rig,
99
4cyl
auto
4.56's
dana 44's frnt/rear
rubi wheels
37s
my question is which out of the box suspension to go with? lokking at 2.5-3" long arm kits
please answer from experience only
thanks

From my experience with the 4 cyl a taller gear would be better for the 37s, 33s on 4:10s was weak, I wanted 4:56.

I was going with the rockkrawler until i saw you had to cut the brackets off the rear axle, I do not want to do that as i will sell them down the road.

What about ironman4x4 kit???

My RE kit is a short arm superflex 3.5" that measured 4.5 the first day it was on 5 years ago. Short arms are a bumpy ride compared to the long arm and soon after, I did a SYE kit to add strength and to get rid of vibrations in the drivetrain. The rear uppers that the kit does not come with we're also added because the angle of the short arm wore out u-joints in the rear driveshaft.

The bushings also wore out and RE sent me all new ones no questions so the service and strength of the product has worked well.

All that being said, I want to replace all my front in the near future with ironman4x4 radius long arms for better flex, less bounce and higher quality.

First hand at the height you are at, a TeraFlex longarm is pretty good. Granted, the fact that they mount the uppers (short) in the stock location, but use long lowers can cause issues at higher lift heights. But at lower heights, I know they work just fine.
It can be difficult to run a longarm lift at a moderate lift height due to packaging and clearance issues.
I also know the RE Long arm with the triangulated rear uppers works like a champ at 3". I have installed dozens of those kits at that height.
