TJ value

I've never even sent it in person, let alone thrown a tool at it 🤷🏿‍♂️

And to clarify, I'm not 100% certain I could pick you up and throw you either 😇

With just the mods I'd list it for $17k and expect $15k
If there were video showing it's capability ON difficult obstacles I'd say more. The mods are great but folks buy rigs all the time and are too timid to test the limits because they've never known what the rig could actually DO 🤷🏿‍♂️

I would agree with Troy, 15$-17$K is where it should be
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you gentlemen. And it confirms the exact numbers I had in mind. Now to go contemplate life decisions...

I'm denser than i act. I'd be pretty impressed if you could.

Odd form of foreplay...but zero judgement.
Sounds like long distance bro-mance to me. But I agree with both statements.😆

So a photo shoot for the GTG?

So far I’ve got nothing. I know y’all are smarter and more opinionated than that.
I think you are overestimating who here actually builds / buys properly made vehicles, much less strokers

I looked up the KBB value and threw some numbers for everything on a spreadsheet. I came up with a range of $13,500 to $17,000 which has an average of $15,150, so I think Troy is spot on.

I still stand by my original estimate. This IS jeepinmatt were talking about. Have yall seen the door on his shop?

can anyone confirm that all these old TJs are actually selling for 10-15k?

there are so many for sale....we can't all be buying 200k mile TJs at top price
His only has 90k miles on itand the engine was rebuilt into a stroker, plus all the other mods. Still a valid point though since it is 24 years old.

I think a lot of stuff is sitting for a long time at the 15k range for a 20 year old vehicle.

People don’t want to let go of cash. If they even have it. It’s been hard to sell off road rigs like this for a while though I feel like

100%. Absolute best thing I ever did to the jeep. Not a single regret.
Completely off topic from your original post (I double checked this was not a for sale thread ) so my TJ has about 210k on the original al 4.0 and she is tired. So I have been thinking of what to do when it finally decided to have an unscheduled oil transfer going down the road. I know there is the LS Swap the world crowd, but I just like the idea of an old school stroker. So what kind of numbers does it produce and would you have done anything different?

Something like 240hp and 330ft-lbs, but it drives and runs absolutely fantastic, and the power is comparable to a well worn stock 5.3 LS. If I had it all to do over again, I would still do the stroker instead of an LS. I was 20 at the time, and the jeep had 47k miles, and I didn't realize how good of a decision it was. I did mine in 2003, and there are a lot more/better options for stroker stuff now also. It's not hotrod V8 power, but its excellent, very useable wheeling power in a great RPM range that also translates well to street driving. I had forgotten how mediocre a stock 4.0 was until I bought the Xtra Jeep.

I've been eyeballing one of these for a long time.

Unfortunately when my last engine blew passing a Prius on I40, I didn't have funds and swapped in another 4.0.

But I still want.

What’s a 2000 TJ with 95k miles, 4.6 stroker, NV4500, 4:1 D300, D44/8.8, 37s, lockers, longarms, etc worth? Body is straight, paint is good but not perfect. Soft top, full hard doors. Asking for a friend.
Meh, $4k tops. But being a nice friend, I'll give you $5k so you don't have to waste your time with tirelickers or marketplace :D

You can build one a LOT cheaper than that if you aren’t afraid to build a motor. It’s nothing hard, just requires cleanliness and attention to detail.

You're 1 hour and 18 minutes away from me.

I expect you to help me build it one day.

EDIT - That reminds me, wasn't I suppose to buy a winch off you last year?

Probably 1hr15 since I'm on the northwest side of Stanley.

And yes, but that was just to help you out since you missed the Harbor Freight sale. Now I'm gonna need it to stick on the front of my jeep so I can 'sale' it for more moneyz.

Yeah, about half that price with nice parts.
