Everything works except when you turn the key the engine won't turn over. When you hit the air locker switch, it only stays on while you hold it down. The dash lights indicating engagement don't come one and it the compressor turns off and on rappidly while holding down the switch. The fuse for everything that comes on when the ignition comes on had to be replaced tonight due to getting blown. I'm thinking my ecm may have gone in the process due to some wires getting crossed or either the automatic shut down relay. I swapped the starter relay with another one under the hood but it still did the same thing. Any suggestions?

i think they still have some type of nuetral safety switch, in tranny and in clutch. I don't know, just thinking outloud.

They do. It is on the clutch linkage under the dash. It is not very prone to failing, but worth a look.

What wires could have gotten crossed. Were you chopping into the ECU wires? If you were, I've got no ideas. If not, check the battery terminals. Sounds like a simple ground problem. If the locker compressor isn't getting enough voltage due to a bad ground it won't work properly either. Start with the simple things and work from there. Clean the terminals. check the battery. Try a known good battery. Do these things and post up the results.

I think the most important thing is... What were you doing between the last time it started and this time?

Wiring the incab winch controls. Used a set of rockers which my electrician neighbor tested after the fact and found one faulty. When I turned on the power to check them it blew the ignition fuse under the hood which I replaced so everything works now, it just doesn't turn over when you turn the key. Going to check today to see if I have power going to the ignition wires to see if maybe I have a bad wire or something.

Sometimes you can unhook the battery, leave it that way for 30 minutes or so, then hook it back up... if the ECM somehow got messed up, this gives it a chacne to "reboot" for lack of a better term.

Worth trying at least.
