Okay, so I've done some research into this project and I posted a previous thread - which helped me to directly find a lot of information about the swap. I was talking to one of my friends to try and tackle this project and he told me that, opposed to what I've been hearing, this swap in the front would be a pretty hard modification.
Steering comes into play and you have to be exact when installing the front axle shaft. He said the back is way easier. He also said that if I replaced the vaccuum disconnect and replaced both shafts in the front to a single shaft, I'd probably be tinkering around with it and it would never drive the same.
His solution was to buy an upgraded passenger side front axle shaft, since its weak in the YJ's and buy manual hubs.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on the difficulty of doing the swap and any comments on the driveability and what my friend's proposal was.
Thanks in advance.
