tnt flat fenders and psc rear crusher corners with flares

haha i wish that were the case. if i could not go to school and dedicate all that money to a tow rig and my jeep... well i would buy me that new F450 for $56,700 and my jeep would be sick nasty.

but my dad sees it differently and doesnt want me to be like him. so imagine this. my dad makes 6 figs a year, we have a 6 fig boat that we fish professionally on (professional fishing is what we do for fun), we have 3 houses and land, my dad has a brand new 07 super duty, and he never went to college, but yet he wants me to have a better life... whatever that means. can anybody help me on this one

because your dad grew up in a time where a college degree wasn't as important as it is now. it's nearly a neccessity these days. it's very rare for someone from your/my generation to be really successfull without a college degree.

my dad also didn't go to college (barely graduated high school) and has done very well for himself and my family. it's been a long, hard road though, and he's busted his ass for 45 years.

having a college degree gives you options also. you might choose to do something for a living that doesn't require it, but you've still got the ability to do other things.

Nice of you to point that out. You should sponsor a starving child.

RufusTheRam is dead on here. While your parents may have done well, and didn't go to college, college was not a necessity. The only way to be "successful" and not have a degree at a younger age these days is to be extremely skilled at a skilled labor, and even then, the degree of success has a much lower ceiling. I have no desire to go to college, I hate it with a bridled passion. But I know it is what I have to do, so that those in better places than me will give me the opportunity to do things that will allow me to be successful. Getting your bachelors today is equivalent to graduating from high school when our parents were growing up.
