Figured I would revive an old thread, my brother and a few friends have been going up there recently and gotten some good deals, I will be going on Wednesday to look for a headliner and maybe some new carpets... if anyone is looking for anything shoot me a PM and I will look around, I will probably spend a few hours there looking around honestly.

Why does all the good stuff have to be so far away. Almost every time I look on here and see something I just can't live without or see a place that has killer deals on all kinds of stuff it's 2+ hours away. I hate Charlotte :( we need to move.

I went up there to buy metal and could not get anybody to help me. I walked in the yard sales trailer and the guy told me to wait outside. I waited for 15 minutes then left. What are you supposed to do if you want to buy something, drag it into the trailer and hit the guy in the head with it?

My brother went up there to get metal for his bumper project, talked to one of the guys, the pricing guy ended up not being there so they gave it to him for free... so I don't know maybe you had bad luck. Best thing to do is walk the yard and find what you want, then talk to them.

if anybody heads up there i need a rear wiper motor for an xj, and the black plastic piece that holds the rear hatch cover on(87) with the little gay clips

I've got the hatch off my 91 that you can have. Hatch is no good but you can have all the internals. I don't know if the wiper motor worked or not. I never got it to turn on. Yours free and I'm in Kannapolis.

pull apart on patterson avenue in winston still has $100 axles. any flavor.

yup...i gotta man at 109 upullit......he says those axles never even make it to the yard.

they guys that work there are pretty nice. theyve done alot of favors for me....but they are gonna have to drop prices to compete with PAP

the latino guy sold me my stuff cheap and was going to sell my buddy some parts for his 60s model truck at a reasonable price but when he went back to pay the guy another guy steped in and cussed the latino guy out and told us and him it was a $100 part and he could put it on ebay and sell it i no time! it wasn't worth 100 because you could pay 100 more for a brand new aluminum one. well we tried to talk him down because the other guy had just told us a way lower price and we had to walk all the way back down there and take it off the truck but he wouldn't budge.

we also about got run over by a guy moving cars while talking on the cell phone (this happened multiple times)

if 109 would make their classic parts cheaper they could make some money i dont know about the other stuff, we didn't get past the old trucks, but they had some good stuff. i just stay away from junkyards unless its pap because most are too nasty and prices are too high

pap is one of the cleanest and best run yards, another is terrys southern automotive in denton,nc he doesn't have any 4x4s that i saw but hes got some old stuff, and if he could get more business i bet he would get some stuff in. he told us he didn't like messing with new stuff

My friends have been up there multiple times in the last few weeks and have been getting all the parts they need. Though keep in mind we aren't doing any major modifications, just fixing little odds and ends, carpets, interior panels, stuff like that, and getting scrap steel for random ideas.

just got back from DH, there are probably 20 or so XJ and ZJs there. They're all sitting on their axles (no wheels), hard to peek underneath. I grabbed a 4.0L exhaust manifold.

I was told if you need something underneath the car you ask someone to lift it up with a fork lift or something.....sounds a little bit sketchy

if he dont want it i will take it... pm me:popcorn:

Ive kind of learned the way to get good prices is to get a bunch of shit, or just make it look like a bunch of shit, go up with an interior and underneath said interior have an alternator a starter, yada yada, rarely will they dig through it to check.

109 sucks

Yes, their prices fucking suck! Dickhead up there behind the counter tried to charge me more for a used part than a new one once.
