So shitty. A really good friend of mine is the rear changer on the 99, I was hoping so bad he'd get a ring this year. They did get the Mechanix Wear crew of the year award again though. Mayb next year

The 99 team fought hard & I would've not been too upset to see Cousin Carl win his first - classy guy!!:beer:
 
I wouldn't have minded seeing Tony win even tho I'm a Ford guy. Tony has always been a great competitor. But hearing him run his mouth the last few weeks I lost a lot of respect for him. Just another arrogant loud mouth. But still a great run through the chase. It was exciting.

Nascar might be the biggest benefactor of this...talk about a riveting last few weeks, and Tonight...? Was a historic night and likely will be called the best Nascar season ending race ever.

The "arrogant loudmouth" thing was solely a publicity thing. Even NASCAR, ESPN and other sources pointed it out this week that it was all for the promotion of the sport. Hell the two (Edwards and Stewart) were even laughing a good bit trying to keep the heckling up thru some of the press sessions. Name one sport other than the "country club" crap where some poo slangin' hasn't happened during a championship run.

Ive been a Smoke fan for a long time. Still cant deny that man drove the damn wheels off that car tonight and deserved the W and the Cup. I'd love to know how much 'shine' he brought down to Miami from Indiana for this one. Should be one hell of a party up on his farm this week.
