Well, I'll be the first to say it: That guy's an idiot. The reason his crops keep failing is that he's too far away from the marshmallow tree's natural range in the candy cane forest. You get too far away from the gumdrop mountains, and the climate just isn't right for marshmallow production. Soil figures into it, too. I bet that's why they're bitter.
But the real kicker is buried in the middle of the video -- he's going to default on his subsidized government loan. That's really the problem, here. If marshmallow trees would produce in Iredell County, orchards would be popping up everywhere of their own accord. But the cheap loan allows for a misallocation of resources... specifically, our money being put to use paying for somebody else's bad idea.
