So my 6 year old daughter just lost her first tooth. My wife's two older daughters are 16 and 20, so I'm sure inflation has had it's effect on the Tooth Stock Market since then.

Anyone know what's a fair price nowadays?

our tooth fairy gives 4 quarters per tooth, been told I'm..er,um the tooth fairy is a little stingy. But we have a 7 year old and 2 5 year olds in the house, cash flow's gonna be a problem here soon.

I'm 33 now. If I got anything more than $1 for each tooth I was very lucky...

I'd say whatever change is in your pocket would be sufficient. Kids don't know inflation, so they shouldn't know. Let them know $1 is more than they had the night before.

Dollar a tooth or 4 quarters... I like to teach my nieces not much is free in life you have to work hard to earn money or to have nice things! tooth fairy is a game tho shouldnt be about the money i think...

I remember getting an IOU once. Apparently the tooth fairy was broke the night I lost that one.

Apparently, some of the kids in her first grade class have a much more well-to-do tooth fairy, because we are hearing stories of $20 bills.

My 6 year old daughter doesn't get money from the tooth fairy, she gets stickers. And she is so excited about the stickers, she talks about how she hopes the tooth fairy brings her stickers every time!

our tooth fairy leaves $1 Sacagawea or Presidential coins.

she gets pretty excited about it, has a collection of 6 at this time.

Tooth fairy didn't pay up for the one she swallowed by accident, but ice cream made up for it. ( gotta have a tooth for exchange purposes )

When I bitched about not getting money my dad would just knock another one out

My kids only get a $1 for their teeth. I only got a quarter for fronts and 50 cent for molars, I feel cheated.

5 bux each here...best part was watching her trying to eat corn on the cob the other day, with no top front teeth.

Last one he got $2 but that was all the tooth fairy had Christmas day. He felt cheated a bit, but he got over it.

We had no idea what to leave, were thinking like $3-4, then Jonas informed us he heard the Tooth Fairy leaves $1 per tooth. Um, yeah buddy, we heard that too...

good thing too b/c he lost 2 w/in 2 days lol.

I like the dollar coin idea, a little more "special".

Who started this sick tradition anyway? WTF does the fairy do w/ all those teeth?

Ya'll suck! I remember getting a nickle once, and a dime a few times!
All my kids got a rolled up one dollar bill.

$1.00 per tooth until the last baby tooth. That one got $5.00 and a small note telling her to keep up the good work keeping her teeth clean and that she would be missed.

I think I got $0.50 or $1.00 for each tooth.

Tooth fairy didn't pay up for the one she swallowed by accident, but ice cream made up for it. ( gotta have a tooth for exchange purposes )

My dad helped me write a note to the tooth fairy for one I swallowed... I still got my 2 quarters. He still has the note.

Maycee has lost 1 tooth. The fairy bought it for 2 DOLLAR BILL.

One time my nephew from Burlington spent the weekend with us, he was maybe 6...during that 3 days, he (i shit you not) lost 3 teeth. He got the gold dollars that the post office stamp machine gives back as change. It was getting out of hand, when he started wiggling the 4th tooth, we told him to stop right there.
