Here is their challenge
What's the best 4x4 you can by for $5,000? Tanner, Rutledge and Adam compete in an epic 400 mile journey from the Mojave Desert to Las Vegas in an attempt to find out.
The vehicles are
Full size Bronco
Full size Blazer
Jeep Cj-7 Renegade
I think this will be quite interesting:popcorn:

so far im not impressed with theyre offroad driving skills, but it should be fun to watch lol!

also imo wrong bronco shoulda got a straight axle not ttb

For desert running, the ttb is actually the preferable setup. Tons of guys out west run them cut and turned for long travel.

Am I crazy - or shouldn't the right answer be "90s Tacoma" for that run?

And, yes based on previous episodes, not a lot of hopes that the result wil lreflect anything other than their idiot driving styles creating a random game of attrition.

Seems like they did something similar last season. They used a Ford Dodge and Chevy and drove them around Alaska or something. If I remember correctly, they had to outfit them for living on the land, Rutledge build a frickin cabin on the back of his... those guys are boneheads.....

I saw a preview of towrig type trucks also, at one point they were upulling a train or semi cant remember. That one should be interesting also.

Sounds about par for that show.....

It is entertainment, they couldn't drive offroad for shit but fun to watch. That Rutledge guy is so damn annoying, but when he built that cabin I laughed, and then when it fell off and they ran it over I laughed uncontrollably. Then when Tanner's hood kept flopping open, that had me rolling too.

Ill be honest, I had forgot about this show, the first season kind of lost my interest, maybe Ill play a little catch up.

Also... I still say a Cherokee is the way to go...

I think the show would be more funny if they had Ron White instead of Rutledge, Rutledge is awful. Ron is excellent.

I think they could have done better choosing hosts for that show... anyone that knows the british version, and then watches the american version will be dissappointed. Tanner foust is an a-hole with no personality, Rutledge is OK, but seems more like the whipping boy for the other two, and Adam, I dont know, just dont like him much either. The show seems even more put on than the brit version too... seems too contrived. And the towing truck competition last week was just stupid, there was no REAL comparison, and they put a F450 against two 3500's... WTF... I know it all boiled down to people are going to buy what they want anyways so who cares about the results, but they could have made more of an effort to make it even and have real comparison... Ill keep watching, but Im not happy about it.

That show is rubbish.. Ha ha had to use the Brit term. The BBC version is much better. The guys on this show arent funny, seem :gay:, and just all around made that show terrible.. Plus they do the same stunts that BBC has already done.. Ill check it out, but Im sure they will make the episode suck somehow

I'm slightly upset that the Cherokee wasn't included. I have $1500 in mine & its a great truck I love the Cherokee to death, if I put another $3500 into it I would have a rig that could do the majority of east coast trails with no problem.

The only one I see that comes on today is the one where they are trying to find an alternative to a pickup truck. ??

Never mind, found it. Sunday at 10 = Breaking Bad. Nothing else on cable compares.

Got to love C-Clip axles LOL BTW the "wheeling" I've seen reminds me of drunk high school kids just pin it she'll make it.

skip the top gear episode.

its clear who the key demographic is.

the jack-ass audienc.e

its obviously not geared to anyone who knows cars.

My thoughts exactly, that's why I'm watching Breaking Bad for the 2nd time in a row. :D

I watched a replay last night... Outside of the pure sillyness which was funny at times. I felt they really did a disservice to the OHV community by their perceived recklessness. I realize they had a crew of people with them to pick up the pieces etc.. But on the outside it really sends the wrong picture about how you should properly use accessible lands.
