Top Gear at Uwharrie!

Why the hell would Top Gear come to Uwharrie?
 
Yea sorry na, they got a hold of me wantin to film on the jumps and stuff, but part of the deal was we had to be hush hush about it till it was released, be sweet if i got some kinda royalty off it from hookin it up for em, ha, but I'm down for doing whatever whenever, if I was in it for the money I'da quit a long time ago.
 
The producer called me in my SFWDA PR position looking for some places to film. I gave her a few phone numbers. Tried to hook her up with Chad and The Farm but I guess BDB wasn't interested. Glad to see it worked out for someone.

Cool, thanks for the reference, yea when she called me she said just wanted jumps and stuff so I got her hooked up with the Stables :driver:

yeah when Becky and I were over at the old house, I rode over there on the golf cart towards the end of their filming. Ricky told me they needed to be hush hush and not have a lot of peeps over there. I saw the three cars pretty much tore up and yes that big yellow boat of a car was bent. Couldn't figure out what exactly they were doin running the race course but it makes sense now.
Ricky I got DVR of it but don't know how to rip it out.
Basicaly the story is they each have a $1000 to spend and need to see which ones can run 'shine the best in the south. part of the test is open roads, dirt track, and they even went to the Rock to outrun a dodge SHP car. yeah right....
I still like the original british tog gear better.
 
HAHAH I watched part of it last night but didn't pay attention enough to know they were doing it locally.. I just saw em loading up the shine and the first flogging session... Show looked good though... YMMV

Sidenote: I think the TG usa show aint that good. Then english one was way better. And I bet that wasn't real 'shine they broke in their trunks.
 
It will replay on history channel at 9 PM on tuesday.

I will watch it then I guess, I was at the stables this weekend, talked to Johnny multiple times, had a blast with the jumps, never heard about this, well kept secret.
 
They shine was reAl. The night before they camped in the cars and got drunk spitting the shine into the fire all night. Makes you wonder who they got 6 cases of the stuff from!
