Topsail island inshore fishing?

Just wondering if any of the bays north of surf city hold fish? We are staying north of surf city this year and we usually stay all the way down south? Thinking of putting the boat in up north and hitting some of those bays. Just trying to figure out which ones might be holding some fish? Don’t need specific spots. Just maybe if a “certain” bay might be better to fish? I can pick it apart. Thanks in advance, Jesse :beer:
 
I used to know all about the area but the years have erased it. I remember the fishing being good generally and flounder along sand bars being really good.
 
Yea. I’ve caught reds, trout and flounder all down south. Just looking at trying something a little different. I have fished up north of topsail with a guide but not into running behind people. Just looking for a little guidance. There is definitely good fishing around that island
