I have a ampro torque wrench I bought at advance auto about 8 years ago. Its a clicker style. My question is I'm about to do heads studs in my truck and was wondering if there is a way to test its accuracy. I know its been dropped once and last time I used it was to torque some u bolts and it felt like i was pulling a lot harder than what was needed before it clicked.

Yeah I figured since I dropped it that it is off.

Part if my job is having the shop tools calibrated. You can take it to Simco they are just off I40 at hwy 68. 336-605-1665. Be aware that you can buy a new one at Harbor Freight for less than the cost of calibration.

What Tommy said. The HF one is cheap and good enough. You can rig up a system of scales and rods of known length to test accuracy. Videos on YouTube show how. It ain't worth it, though.
