As I was coming to a stop a guy next to me pulling a full size stock ford on a tow dolly behind a newer ford was also starting to slow down. All of a sudden I heard the loud bang the no driver wants to hear. I look over and His straps came unhooked or something and the truck went forward off the doll. So now he had the front tires in front of the dolly and the rears behind it. I know he was trying to figure out how to get that one fixed. I couldn't help cause I was in a hurry. I had the wifes dinner and she was getting ready for work. So I went on home. I want by about an hour later and he was gone. I am thinking now he must have left the straps loose or not as tight as they should have been. I wish I had a camera cause the thread sucks with out pics. Just thought I would share another guys agony while towing.

Whatcha wanna bet he didnt have the straps on there at all or something. (Too small for the "fullsize" tires and figured they were not needed.) To "break" those 2-3" wide straps in a normal braking situation...1 of 2 things, straps were rotten, or somehow set to get cut.

I saw a 45ish mph tail waggin the dog wreck on the interstate and 1 of 2 straps broke/the other still held on the tow dolly.

Sux to be him tho...shame you didn't have 5 minutes to spare to jump out and discuss "yeah, those straps right there are supposed to go over the tires...yeah..."
