A couple of weeks ago ( weekend of the 13th) we saw a loaded tow rig (truck, trailer, jeep on the trailer) on Hwy 52 , I think, loaded onto the back of a flatbed semi.
Antone here? ... and please explain ... it was certainly odd looking.

Was this what you saw? I got in a wreck in Harlan. The tow rig wasnt driveable so a buddy came to the rescue.

Yep, I believe that was it. Dang what a tow bill that would've been.

wow i bet that was a pita to load

Not a pain at all. The trailer is a basically a big rollback, the axles roll forward and deck tilts down. Pinkston backed his truck onto it, and I backed his trailer with buggy onto it.

It pays to have friends with access to rigs like that...

What happened pink?

No tears shed, thats my truck driver buddy getting the sweat out of his face. The truck is almost back together, just trying to track down a vibration over 60 and then its time for a new bed.

I was just inside KY on 421 and got bumped by a log truck coming from the other direction. It know both of our rear axles loose under the trucks. It bent my dana 80, got into the bed, and a few other things. Chase and Lee at ECGS got my new rear axle right.

I heard you were racing the log truck and lost. :flipoff2: Could have been much much worse outcome to that situation !! Glad only the truck was a little banged up...

I certainly didnt win...

Here is a picture of the truck busted up in the middle of 421 and another where it is now.

man glad everyones alright could have been really bad. So when did this happen?

Man, those log trucks ROLL through there. I'm honestly surprised it has taken this long for someone haulin' up there to get clipped by one of 'em

So this is why you needed another dana 80!! Man sorry to see your nice truck tore up but looks like its coming together!!

It happened in late August. I am putting it back together just like it was. I towed to fall crawl using a buddies truck... I was extra cautious towing through that section of 421.

Is that dodge 2wd? I just picked one up very simlar to it, even the same rear bumper, or at least it looks like it. Sorry about the damages. I was leaving the cabins this past Sunday & was also on 421 at about 5:15am when the headlights in my Dodge quit working, that was bad enough. Can't think about what you were going through.

Its 4wd.

I have had all of the tires balanced and was told they were all ok. One of the drivers side wheels was replaced because it hit the leaf spring and bent the bead area. I think the vibration may be from the drivers side wheel adapter. I put stock tires on it and it rides much better(except for having no weight on the rear axle). I am going to spin the adapters on a lathe and see what happens.
