What is everyone using for tree savers? IMO, I think tow straps are just a longer tree saver. I've looked around a little this morning and I'm finding that some companies are very proud of their "tree savers" but not so much with the tow straps.

any opinions?

generally, a tree saver is thicker and/or wider than your average tow strap...

plus, I'd rather have a "dedicated" strap to wrap around trees/rocks/etc, than to chance getting a small cut in a strap I'm going to depend on later....

I picked one up at TSC for not too much $$ (can't remember). It is 4" wide and rated to 15k I think.

Big Daddy sells a nice one.

snatch snaps are designed to stretch and recoil to help free a truck and not break things like a chian will do, tree savers are designed to be winched from. not a good idea to use a snatch strap as a tree saver unless you have no choice, then it should be wrapped as many times as possible & be careful it still might break
