Then melissa and I started stripping that nasty bedliner off the floor.. I swear we found swiss cheese under that crap…. Looks like a new floor in the near future.

Well then I took a break from that and let melissa strip for awhile and I pulled the panel off the back hatch.

I couldn't take it... Anyway then I went to advanced auto and bought my other parts and spent about $140 and it was a completely diffrint experence I will spend my money at advanced from now on....

I managed to get the power steering pump and new line on. Then I changed the plugs/wires/dist cap/rotor button/new belt. I also cut out all those heater hoses that were Jerry rigged so I could redo them and get them out of my way..

Other then a bunch of little stuff it was going well I had just finished up the onboard air system 6/22/2013. Then hit uwharrie with a few friends on6/23/2013 and buried it .

So far I found mud and water in everything.

I remover Diff covers and drained and cleaned.

I removed the gas tank and drained all of the gas / water/ and mud

I drained the transfer case and trans.

I stripped everything from the inside including most of the dash. I was gentile with it :) you will c in the photos

Soon to come -custom dash and a hole lot more.

I also fried my jump box.. Note to self keep out of the water. and yes those are my kids with hammers and saws removing the dash. Im also thinking after building a new dash and redoing the motor I may get a long arm kit with 6 in lift.

This is all stuff I was planning to do anyway just not till fall. :(

Well I made a trip to the auto part store where they were able to test my ICM and my coil both are good. next is to test my cps and last the computer. If I pull the computer can any shop test it????

Well fuel pump is bad. If I cant find one I will order one next week. Also going to order a new CPS.. I pulled the computer out and it was still full of water and red clay so I took the water hose to it after I took it apart It come clean and dried out today still no fire :( .

I managed to get the rear-end all the way cleaned out and back together. Now just have to fill it up.

So my parts list sofar include -

steering Colum
computer
cps
fuel pump
front and rear seats
old scrap pick-up tool box

I may have found a parts jeep/ no title/pretty beat up. But I did offer a Remington 870 express and a mini14 in trade. we will c if he takes it.

Well back to work on the xj.

Well just got done talking to the wife. We had planned on this being a 2 year build with us taking this summer off to do some wheeling. Then caging it / chopping the top/ installing the lockers I have in the shed / doing a long arm conversion/ and a 350 swap/ custom dash/ then only transporting on a trailer..

My recent sc**w up changed that. I have been throwing money at it left and right since Sunday and that's really cutting in to my build budget..

So back to the conversation between my wife and I. She suggests instead of wheeling through the summer lets just go ahead and park it back under the carport and go back to the build option 1 / put the money in it and continue to wheel the summer and extend the build option 2 ./ So I have come to the decision to go with option 1 No wheeling for the summer but I should finish the build early..
