Playing with the idea of puting 4.7's in the back of my dual case setup, I bought the buggy like this, so I'm not real up on toyota tech, what do I need, also I hear guys talking about upgrading the rear output shaft, is this neccesary, thanks in advace for the help.

I just installed marlin 4.7 gear set and bobby long output shaft in my rear case. The super low range does awsome in my truck! The doubler that you have puts alot of stress on the rear tcase. The gear set comes with a total spline input gear which is way stronger than the neck down gear in the stock case. I sheered my stock input shaft. While I had my case apart I thought it would be a good idea to add the 220 dollar output shaft. The output shaft is the weak point of the case (where the final torque is applied). I would rather pay the 220 than have my truck broken on the trail. Bobby Long is really easy to deal with and they ship asap.

how long does the install take, thanks

It took me a few hours but I had taken one apart before. You will have to do some grinding on the inside of the case and on the shifter rails because the new gears are bigger
