Ok im running dual cases and have figured out the the shift rails are different from an 88 to a 94 where my problem lies is the shift rails are too long.....

So do i pull it out swap the rails which i have..

Pull them out and use a bur bit to make room.. Which i could do since there is nothing in they way and could go as deep as i need

Or just install the top shift case i have and do away with the forward shift case in the front

You can convert the forward shift case to a top shift case by cutting the rails down and welding them back together. I know theres a write up online some where how to do this, if I find it I'll post it up.
 
Swap rails so you dont have a shifter hole in your trans to plug up or butchered up shift rails.

Yea i have the link saved from pirate but i have a top shift case sitting on the shelf...

Im thinking installing the short rails is the ticket but it would be so much easier to clearence the trans
