Toyota chassis ?

i have a cab that im going to use in a down the road project im just trying to get some ideas together about which route to go. after i thrash my current truck im going to transplant all the goodies to the new rig 22re twin cases five speed and one tons. i want to go custom chassis with a linked setup. is it better or easier to use tube vs 2/4 to build the plat form. thanks for any input!!
