I am looking to get rid of the square tube shaft that I have in the front of my SAS '92 4runner.

Will a shaft from a truck that had a factory solid axle work in my 4runner? I know I may have to add a longer slip spline, but I need some sort of a donor shaft to start with.

Did they come with CV joints on the t-case end?

Would the flange on my t-case match the bolt pattern? I have the v6 with automatic trans, so i know my t-case is kind of an oddball.

Thanks

The problem is that I do not have a stock shaft. I am trying to find out a suitable year model shaft to buy to use as a donor. Are you saying I should modify a driveshaft from an IFS 4runner?

I have a cv driveshaft that I welded sqare tube to.....cut the square tube and make you a round one......

For clarification, the intent for using a factory driveshaft is to cut down on vibration at higher speeds (think ECORS)

Wouldn't two round pieces turn inside of each other?

shaft

You can drill the flange on the drive shaft or the diff to match the bolt pattern of either. You can also order a double drilled pinion flange that will have the pattern to match. If you have more questions give me a call.

lemme rephrase that...I have a few complete cv drive lines that I will let go on the cheap

Give us a shout, we have a few stock Toy shafts around. We should be able to hook you up.
