Toyota dual case question

My clutch is going out on my 85 4runner so its time to assemble my dual case setup. I have another w56c or d tranny to swap in. That tranny came with a forward shift tcase. I still have that available to go back on but, i also have two spare topshifts.

One of these topshifts is attached to an OLD toyota 4speed tranny. Is there any reason i wouldnt be able to use this topshift in my dual case setup? The adapter i have is from marlin crawler and is the one thats clocked 10 degrees, if that matters.

So should i use both topshifts or the forward shift and topshift? I also have another topshift w56a on the truck currently

What would be the best setup?

Thanks in advance! !

I'd use both top shifts if it were me and run the block off plate on the trans.

Either way would work, whether you used the forward shift or a topshift as your first case. I would look into a triple stick shifter for your dual case setup it might help if your tight on space for getting the shifters in there.
