I typed a complete novel with a plot and everything this morning bc adderall is fully kicked in. Then realised nobody got time for that, so I deleted and started over. The TLDNR version is as follows:
The type of driveline gearing your talking about would be useful on the left cost. Not as much here. Sounds like you already have enough gearing for the right coast. I would focus on strength of existing driveline componets to handle your buddy yelling "hit it with your purse, you pu$$y!"
The amount of driveline strength you need will depend on your rig's specs and your ability to resist the temptation to put your right foot through the firewall. I promise you, that 5VZE has more than enough power to kersplode even the strongest Toyota gear driven transfer case that money can buy. If you are a sensible driver, and are okay with the idea that you will occassionally ruin a wheelin trip and have to rebuild your toyota case(s), then run what you brung. They are cheap and easy enough to find/rebuild. Hell, that's why everyone gets into Toyotas.
Where I draw the line (based on my experience) is chasing longevity/strength upgrades for Toyota cases. You will most likely end up disappointed when your upgraded t-case blows up. YMMV, but if you blow it up once, you will probably do it again...and again....and again. And then you'll wish you had sold the duals years ago and put that money + some extra into an Atlas and been done with it, because you just realized you spent Atlas money upgrading/rebuilding Toyota cases and don't have any Atlases to show for it.
Still ended up too long to read. F*ing drugs!
