I have a 85 4runner that needs a better mechanic than me. I've done a lot of replacement but can't get it to idle or run at low RPM. Located in Hickory area
This is the other common culprit. Leaks behind the MAF. Closely inspect the rubber boots on either end of the plastic hose running from the air box to the intake. They dry rot/crack and suck in extra air. It doesn't take much.Last one I had that wouldn't idle ended up being a vacuum leak. Air entering the system after the MAF.
Just come over here. It's in the garage. I'm working 6-7 days a week!Hey bring it over, I got time now lol, I've worked on many of those in Boone and have had some good results. Chasing vacuum lines on em does suck but I have pretty good system of doing smoke test on it. I'm here if u need help
