I have a 2nd gen 4 4Runner with IFS front. I snapped the passenger cv axle shaft this past weekend and last night removed the broken shaft. I noticed that the flange that the shaft bolts to on the differential side has a little play in it. Is that normal or did I break more than the shaft. Thanks -Mike

It does have a little play. That flange goes right into the side gear in the carrier.
