Toyota IFS question

Having some bad poping in my IFS when I'm turning the wheel hard. I've got a 89 Yoter pickup with a 6in lift. I think it's coming from the half shafts, do they make spacers for the half shafts? If so, who makes them? Any info would be awsome.
 
Is it at full lock? Chances are it is the stopper on the knuckle that stocks the wheel from turning anymore. There is suppsoed to be a rubber cover, but it gets worn or lost over the years. I have the sound on my 89 4runner and i had it on my old 89 pickup.
 
Yeah, those are worn out, didn't think about that. It just looked like the half shafts were pulled out compared to others I've seen.
 
I've never heard of spacers on them - but that would be nice for some longer travel.

I'm curious, how in teh world did you get 6" of lift on IFS? Or is this 2" of body lift on a 4" bracket system

puttin money in the typical 4" bracket, and t-bars cranked all to hell....lol
 
Your probably right, when my wife bought the truck the man said it had a 6in. susp. and 3in. body. Doesn't ride that bad so I doubt the t-bars are cranked. I've seen spacers put on H2's before so I thought someone might have something for my application.

Hate to tell ya, somebody lied to your wife.
There is no known way to get 6" of suspension lift with the IFS - unless perhaps you have a complete replacement kit with new A-arms and everything... but that is bookoo bucks....
 
ive ran on two differnt trucks
4inch pro comp stage ll
1.5 ball joint spacers
thats 5.5 without any crank....no aftermarket a arms.........im sure there is a way to get 6"

I'm with Rattlecan, can you please get some pictures? if you can get them posted here, email them to me and I'll post them.

BJ spacers + bracket lift = snotload of leverage on the lower mounts.
