Toyota knuckle service kit w/ wheel bearings

How difficult is it to rebuild my knuckles with the ECGS kit....or how much could I expect to pay someone to do it for me

That knuckle alighnment tool is pricey, I hope I can avoid buying one.

Read up on Mud. There are ways to do it without the tool with good results.

I did mine without the tool and it turned out fine, well I think so anyway. I have yet to drive it.

Are you guys just talking about seals and wheele barings and trunion barings or am I missing something that stuff is pretty easy

he had a general question on the knuckle rebuild kit, i was talking about the knuckle alignment tool, but i havent a clue as to what wheele barings are lol

http://www.lukemiller.org/toys/1985_toyota_4wd_front_axle_FSM.pdf This link gave me pretty much everything I needed to rebuild my knuckles. It was my first time doing it and it all worked out great. To set the preload, I used a fish scale, and to align my tires, I used twine around all four tires and eyeballed it. It drives great.

That's how you set the toe, nothing to do wih centering the knuckle

I ha e had several toyota s and had the front end down a bunch for repairs and have no idea what your talking about please elaborate I always just use a fish scale the shim mine

I have never used any special tools when rebuilding knuckles.

Iam starting with a box of parts, a rebuild would be cut and dry. Put the shims back how they came out. I will have to measure for the correct shims
