I'm wondering is there anyway to use a transmission from a 3.0 truck on my 22re truck?Maybe change the bellhousing?anyone know if this is possible?

Man... I sure thought there was a way to remove the bellhousing flange from the tranny and swap it with one from a W56 etc so that it matches the 22re.

Yes it will, you go from 21 to 23 i believe, call inchworm for the adapter so you can keep the gear driven case, im getting ready to do the same thing to my truck

yes I know the answer, and no is the answer. I have alot of of manual trannys if you need one giive me a shout.
Am I missing something? He's got a 22re and wanting a r series trans, not 2rz/3rz and wanting an r sries trans. He can mak it work with used parts, but finding a turbo tranny bellhousing isn't easy.

To put a R150 trans(came behind 3.0 V6) behind a 22r/22re, you would need the bellhousing from a R151 trans that would have been mounted behind a 22reTurbo engine. They were avail in the mid 80's, but go for big $$ now

i am pretty sure you can use the R151 bellhousing.....but then you will either have to run the V6 chain t-case or get an adaptor to go back to the gear driven case.... are you breaking a Gseries tranny.... i have had good luck with my W56....

just curious.
