I have added a set of 3 inch longer shackles and twisted my tbars on my 88 toyota pickup. when the rear axle is flexed out and one tire off the ground, it still is about an inch from the bump stop. it still has the stock shocks, could they be what is limiting my axle from not hitting the bump stop? If so i guess for now all i need are longer rear shocks. where can i get some cheap longer shocks for my yota?

i would say limiting flex, jack truck up take off shock see if its holding it up. i would get longer shocks if you added any lift stock are going to hurt you my.o2

New shock mounts on top of the axle?

X3...and make sure your brake line is long enough for the extra flex once you get your new shocks or mounts.. Id take both shocks off and flex it and measure both sides so you can get the correct length shock and go from there.

can i build the shock mount or is it easier to just buy them and if so where? This is just a temporary lift until i get an axle to do a sas

can i use the stock toyota shocks with this kit or do i need new ones? Can i just use the bottom mount and still use the stock top mount? Sorry for all the questions, I'm kind of new to this

I have some rear shocks for sale. They are for a lifted application. 16" compressed length and 26" extended length. new, come with red boots. I think the brand is called "eliminator" good shocks though. $15 ea plus shipping.

did you fix your problem...i call mudpro get shock tabs weld them on top of axle. i think stock one's are on bottom of ubolt plate try that.

no i haven't got it fixed yet, i have been to busy and it has been to wet to pull it in the shop. i still need to pull one of the shocks off and make sure they are what is keeping it from flexing all the way,

i did take one shock off and flexed it out and it still didn't hit the bump stop. I'm not sure, but i'm guessing that it is the springs? not sure i will post pics later today.

I assume you mean the compresion w/ the other side at full droop?

Remember also there is a big difference between the comrpession you'l get "static" just sitting there and lifting it up, or slowly moving up a ledge... vs a more dynamic load on the trail. The spring wil lcomrpess farther with a quick hard drop before popping back (e.g., spring). If it was hitting the bump stop just sitting there or moving slowly, you can bet it will nail it hard when moving faster.
