Toyota weber issue

I'm stumped here, buddy of mine has a 22r that we put a weber on. Ran great before but would sputter a little at idle, instead of getting the asian rebuilt he decided to get a weber. Put the weber on and the truck started deseiling, it didn't do this before. I rechecked all my vacuum lines, rechecked the timing, and couldn't find anything wrong. Heard bad things about the two piece adapter that weber gives you so my buddy bought the one piece one and we installed that, and it still deseils. Im stumped here, anyone have some advice on why its doing this and where I can check next. Thanks

Actually, the old Weber guru who built my old carb believed the 2-piece was the better adapter. If you install it correctly and don't over torque the bolts, it's less prone to vacuum leaks and warping.
 
I thought too much fuel at first as well, so we did put a regulator on it and took it down to about 4 psi and I have checke the timing with a light. Also I couldn't see it being a timing problem when this only started when the new carb was put on, if it was timing wouldn't it had done this before the weber was put on.
With the two piece adaptor I could spray carb cleaner and find it leaking on the back side but with the new one piece I have no leaks anywhere. I'm stumpped on this one
 
The dieseling sounds like the timing is off. You have to advance the timing a bit more than stock with webers. Usually around 9-12 degrees. Also check the float levels. Iv messed with many webers and they are built for many different applications so they are never tuned right for one vehicle. Once you confirmed timing adjust the mixture screw. If you dont know how i can help with that too. if none of these work is it a true weber from redline or a knock off from weber carbs direct? A true weber will be stamped on the top plate near the fuel inlet a fake will have a sticker.
