I want to thank everyone that came up to the toy run this weekend
It was a HUGE success we collected more toys this year than last year, couple that with the very generous donation of a 95 grand Cherokee from Rodney Eppes that we raffled off we surpassed any of the previous toy runs!!!
We collected $751.60 from the raffle…not sure how the .60 got into the box though lol
We also collected $225 from donations to the community center and from people who didn’t bring a toy and gave $$ instead.
The community center was amazed at the turn out
SO:
I want to give a big thank you to PAUL BROWN for donating the park and Neeta for over seeing the madness.
My wife: Lisa thank you for cooking the awesome meal for everyone
NC4X4 for supporting our Toy Drive and having the best website for the east coast on the web
NOAS thank you for helping with serving
Dylan and Roy you guys are my right hand men, thanks as always
A big thank you to all my sponsors; with out the local business’s helping the meal would not be as easy to make happen
Once again thank you for coming out and helping to spread joy to kids that need that helping hand and encouragement that people do care and everyone can make a difference in this world
I dropped off the unused buns at the community center so Flo can use them to feed sandwiches to the kids (during the summer she feeds all the kids several meals a day, for free of course)
We will buy a lot more toys and if there is $$ left over after getting enough toys we will also use some of the $$ collected to help and buy some new coats and jackets, the community center buys several 100 a year for the kids
I took this picture sunday afternoon:huggy:

That is absolutly awesome Doug!

One thing I noticed, that I didn't see, or for this event I have never seen. Is not one person that wasn't having a good time! Even the ones who broke had smiles on their faces!

I truely hope the kids of Johnson county have a great Christmas!

Oh and a special thanks to Ms Flo. I took my grandkids over and let them hand the gifts we brought. She had to have a picture of them, and made sure to include the club logo's were in full view! That lady has a grand heart!

X2 she is our own personal "old lady that lives in shoe"...atleast that's what she always says:popcorn:

Doug,
I will see you in 3 weekends...but add $200 to the total. I have a wal mart gift card for you to shop as you wish with!

THANKS

I too, want to thank Doug, the other workers, Netta, Paul Brown, And Especially,, All that came out, bringing they're donations, & buying the Raffle tickets. I didn't come to ride, but I had a good time selling the tickets, meeting folks, enjoying a cool peaceful day, & as Chip said, Seeing All the SMILES!

The toy run was written up in the local news and we've incorporated that article into a front page post as well.

Thanks again, Doug, for all you and Lisa do!

SWEET! Thanks again to Doug, Lisa, Paul Brown and everyone who has helped make a kid's Christmas better for the last 6 years!

Doug, we had a great turnout at the 40th Anniversary Fun Caravan and we had the Paul Brown, Thank You poster on a table beside the meal serving line. Lots of folks signed and JasonW of Rock Corps is taking the poster back with him to display at The Flats open invite later this month! We'll work on getting it back to you after that!

SWEET! Thanks again to Doug, Lisa, Paul Brown and everyone who has helped make a kid's Christmas better for the last 6 years!
