in '46 the 'farm jeep' had tractor tires - little 29"s. They had what looked to be a perimeter central rib to keep road trips from being bumpy. Im needing some tires for my farm jeep that sees zero road work but will be on hard pack sand/ soft sand (field edges), and some yard usage. I have two from my massey that when turned way sharp under the weight of a diesel powerplant would push and kill the yard when mowing so we swapped them for street tires. So I own 2 already and wondering if this is a cheap way to roll around my farm with $160 getting me into 2 more. this thing is only used for chore work and deer hauling and some drunken shinanigans back in the creek bottoms. anybody got thoughts to this? Im mixed as a set of aggressive mud tires - that I certainly need- would be in the $600 range. out of budget on a $800 vehicle driven less than 10 miles per year. stored inside, so rot will be slowed. the land is down east and gooey at best, so I gotta have aggressive tread. anybody have any experience with these things on lightweight vehicles? will I immediately regret this choice in ride?
