If you are heading to URE this Memorial Day Weekend, you are in for a treat. Just got back home from an afternoon ride up.
It is SLICK!!:driver:
I've not been up there when it was this slippery. Alot more fun than the normal dust we are all used to up there. It had rained before we got there, rained while we rode, and rained harder while we were loading the trailer to come home.
As for fuel prices, I thought this would be helpful so you can decide if you fill up before you go or fill up when you are up there.
At Eldorado Outpost as of about 5:30pm Friday:
$3.57 for Regular
$3.97 for Diesel

Ahhh...I love Uwharrie after/during a rain fall... :) Makes you appreciate your Swampers that much more.

Quoted for truth. A buddy of mine has some regular generic radial M/Ts, and has never wheeled uwharrie when its wet. He said one time "I am pretty happy with my tires, I have gone everywhere you have with your Swampers." (keep in mind our trucks are almost identically set up). I told him, wait for a day you come out and ride when its slick as owl sh*t. Then you will see the difference, and hence why I love my 34x9.5 Bias Ply TSLs.

I seem to remember one trip a LONG time ago when you weren't so appreciative of the rain. That was pre-Swampers, though....

Rain + hung up on a log + no top + sitting in a gulley + "little" BFG MT's = not so much fun
