Truck runs great untill the crap in the tank clogs the fuel filter...the brand new filter clogged up so fast this AM, I decided to try something different. I only drove it today to get it to the pressure washer to get the salt/snow off from last week, pulling the tank to have it redone when truck gets back home.

My co-workers think I am absolutely nuts.

Nice. Did this to a rat rod station wagon once

Haha, drove a mazda B2000 home like that once, except it was a 2 liter bottle, and I held it in the cab because I was afraid of spilling gas all over the engine bay. I was also afraid of the gas eating through the bottle, but it didn't. I guess they make them out of better stuff to keep the Cheerwine from eating through.

HAHA...did something similar a couple times. The stupidest was probably driving my 73 wagoneer home 15 miles with a 5 gallon gas can sitting on the passenger floor board feeding the carb.

I had a 1966 Chevelle that had a plastic 5 gallon gas can under the hood that I drove with for a remarkable amount of time when I was like 18 or 19.For Awhile it was all I had to drive to work.

My 79 Yota pickup has inline electric fuel pump. Everytime I wheel something steep without a full tank of gas it sucks air and starves motor of fuel. I keep a 20oz plastic drink bottle zip tied to the fender so I can pump fuel to it, pull the line and draft off the bottle to get me over it. The bottle cap even has a hole for the fuel line to fit so I don't spill fuel!

Pitiful but effective.:driver:
